My name is Brooke and I'm a wife & mother of two. I'm an Ohio native (Go Bucks!), but have called North Carolina home since I moved here with my family during high school. I now reside in the Lake Norman area with my husband and two strong-willed, amazing children. When I’m not attending a birth, you can find me in the dugout at a t-ball game, at a book club with friends, or in the gym!
During the (very long, difficult) birth of my first child in 2016, things didn't quite go according to plan. I realized a lot of families aren't able to reflect positively on their birthing experience as I was thankful to, and this burdened my heart to become a birth doula. I believe every family deserves to be seen, heard, and supported, no matter their birth preferences.
I studied Exercise Science in college, where I learned the amazing things our bodies are capable of. I've worked as an exercise physiologist in cardiac rehab, and a wellness coach in a hospital setting. I've worked specifically with women with high blood pressure and diabetes. I was also in full-time ministry. I have learned to meet people where they're at, to comfort and hold space for them. These experiences brought me to a new understanding of wholeness - body, mind, and spirit.
I’m happy to add prenatal personal training to my doula practice, as well as birth photography, and other wellness services.
It would be my honor and privilege to serve you in this important season of life.
